Is there any age limit?
The Single Trip Plan has no age restriction. However, the Annual Plan is subject to the following age restrictions:
17-70: Travel Direct Global Insurance
17-70: Travel Direct China Insurance
12-70: Travel Direct Overseas Student Insurance
Is scuba diving or other sports activities covered in your insurance and are there any limitations or restriction?
As long as the activities are not performed under competition or professional sports or to earn income, they are covered without limitation or restriction.
Can a child be covered by the Single Trip Plan individually?
Yes.
Should I bring along my policy during the journey?
It is recommended you bring along the original policy during the journey and leave a copy with a family member or a friend in Hong Kong.
If I should stay at the destination for one more day due to flight delay, should I buy another policy?
Whenever the journey is unavoidably extended, the insurance will be automatically extended up to maximum 10 days and therefore you need not to buy another policy.
For Travel Direct Overseas Student Insurance, are the traveling and leisure activities during holidays also covered?
Yes.
Will my children be covered by my annual policy if they travel without me?
Yes.
- Travel Direct Global Insurance (Single Trip Plan) covers trips lasting up to 182 days.
- Travel Direct Guangdong & Macau (Short-Tour) Insurance covers trips lasting up to 14 days.
- Travel Direct Global Insurance (Annual Plan) and China Insurance cover an unlimited number of trips for up to 90 days
- Travel Direct Overseas Student Insurance has no time limitations.
What procedures shall I take if I am sick during the journey?
You can visit a qualified medical practitioner for medical consultation. Please remember to keep all doctor report(s)/ receipt(s) for claims purpose.
